Agassiz Featured Farms & Stops

The Agassiz tour starts once again by the Ag Hall in Agassiz, 6800 Pioneer Ave.

Once your registered its time to hit the road.  Choose one of three routes East, West or North.

East- Your first stop is the Agassiz Harrison Museum, located in the old CPR rail station this building has a long history in the community. We have invited members of the Deroche and Agassiz Farmers Market to set up a market on their grounds. Visit this years exhibit Harrison- A working Lake, or wander through their agriculture barn and see antique farm machinary before heading to UBC Dairy & Research Centre and the Agassiz Research and Development Centre where you learn about present day practices. 

Heading West first stop after enjoying a windy country road is Hammersley Farms, enjoy you-pick blueberries, perinnals, a walk through their gardens, seat down for delicous hamburgers or preuse through their mini-market. Picking up fresh produce. 

Or choose to head North straight to the FarmHouse Natural Cheese for their special treats and on to Earthwise Society Farm for fresh local produce and the Back Porch for coffee and pottery!

These are just some of the farms you will experience, along with farm-raised Coho Salmon, organic grown veggies, homemade pies and fresh lamb pepperoni!

Which ever direction you choose we look forward to sharing a piece of country living with you. Remember to bring enough cash as most farms are not equiped with credit card machines.

And the shopping shuttle is a free service, offering to pick up your purchases at the farms and bring them back to registration for you.
